Are these laser safety glasses?

No. Although NoIR groups Filter 10 within its protective filter line, NoIR specifies this filter for non-coherent, non-laser applications. Do not select Filter 10 for laser protection unless the required wavelength and optical density have been specifically verified for your application.

Why choose 91% VLT UV safety glasses?

Because Filter 10 is intended to block UV while barely darkening your view. A 91% VLT lens allows about 91% of visible light through, making it useful in indoor work environments and other situations where a dark safety lens would make it harder to see.
