Individual lenses are available in:

• 1.7x: Approximately 15.75 inches of working distance for a wider viewing area and more room for tools
• 2x: Approximately 10 inches of working distance for moderate close-up magnification
• 2.5x: Approximately 7 inches of working distance for viewing smaller details
• 3x: Approximately 6.25 inches of working distance for the strongest close-up view

Higher magnification makes details appear larger, but it also requires you to work closer and generally provides a smaller viewing area. Having several lens strengths allows you to choose the magnification and working distance that best fit each task.
