Eschenbach Monocular Clip-On Magnifier for Eyeglasses – 4x or 7x

The Eschenbach Monocular Clip-On Magnifier attaches to most eyeglasses and provides strong, hands-free magnification for examining very small details. Choose 4x or 7x magnification for jewelry work, watch repair, electronics, coin and stamp inspection, model building, fine crafts, and other precision tasks.

Each option includes the eyeglass clip and the selected magnifying lens. Eyeglasses are not included.

What Does Monocular Mean?

This magnifier is designed for viewing through one eye rather than both eyes together. The compact round lens provides a concentrated view of a small area while leaving the other eyeglass lens unobstructed.

This design is better suited to close inspection and precision work than general reading. It is not the same as a wide binocular magnifier intended for viewing through both eyes.

Choosing Between 4x and 7x

• 4x magnification: Approximately 2.2 inches of working distance. This option provides strong magnification with slightly more room for tools and movement.
• 7x magnification: Approximately 1.25 inches of working distance. This option provides a much closer view of extremely small details but requires the object to be positioned very near the lens.

The 7x option is not automatically the better choice. Higher magnification provides a smaller viewing area and a much shorter working distance. Choose 4x when you need more working room and 7x when seeing the smallest possible detail is the priority.

This clip-on magnifier may be a good choice for someone who:

It is intended for stationary close-up work. It should not be used while walking, driving, or viewing objects at normal distances.

The clip attaches to most eyeglass frames and opens approximately 15 mm. Rubber-covered contact points help protect the wearer’s eyeglass lenses, and the magnifier can be flipped upward when it is temporarily not needed.

The 35 mm aspheric PXM lens provides strong magnification in a lightweight design. Its Cera-Tec coating helps resist scratches and everyday wear, supporting longer-lasting optical clarity.
