Asensys Yellow Fit Over Glasses give you two very different ways to use a yellow contrast-enhancing lens. Choose the bright Non-Polarized Yellow lens when you want better contrast without making your surroundings dark, or choose the much darker Polarized Yellow lens when bright outdoor light and reflected glare are the bigger problem.
Both options can be worn over many prescription glasses or on their own and are available in Small and Large sizes.
● NON-POLARIZED YELLOW — BRIGHTER VIEW
This is the bright yellow lens shown in the product photos. It keeps your surroundings relatively bright while helping increase contrast.
Think of this as the lighter, everyday Yellow option.
● POLARIZED YELLOW — DARKER FOR BRIGHT OUTDOOR GLARE
This version is much darker than the Non-Polarized Yellow lens and is designed for situations where bright light and reflected glare are more of a problem.
Think of this as the outdoor, high-glare Yellow option.
You are not seeing the wrong color. Eschenbach classifies both lenses as Yellow filters, but the Polarized Yellow lens looks considerably darker and more amber-brown.
The reason is simple: the regular Yellow lens lets about 85% of visible light through, while the Polarized Yellow lens lets only about 15% through. Adding polarization and greatly reducing the amount of light changes how the tint appears.
Yes. Asensys frames are designed to fit over many prescription glasses, but they can also be worn by themselves.
If you wear prescription glasses and want better contrast as well as help with bothersome glare, yellow fit-over glasses are a strong choice. Yellow lenses can make details and edges easier to distinguish, especially when lighting is cloudy, hazy or not very bright.
The Asensys Yellow Fit-Over Glasses give you two options depending on where you need them most. Choose the Non-Polarized Yellow lens when you want increased contrast while keeping your view bright for indoor use, cloudy days or lower-light conditions. Choose the Polarized Yellow lens when you need more brightness reduction and help with reflected outdoor glare from roads, pavement, water or other shiny surfaces.
Both options give you the contrast benefits of a yellow filter while fitting over many prescription glasses.
