Eschenbach LaboMED Hands-Free Magnifying Glasses – 1.7x to 3x and Frame Only Option

The Eschenbach LaboMED Hands-Free Magnifying Glasses provide binocular magnification for reading, crafts, repairs, electronics, model building, inspection and other detailed close-up tasks. The magnifying lens is worn on its own lightweight frame, leaving both hands available while you work.

Choose the frame only if you already own a compatible Eschenbach LaboMED lens, or select a complete frame-and-lens option in 1.7x, 2x, 2.5x or 3x magnification.

Important: The Frame Only option does not include a magnifying lens.

Who This Magnifier Is For

The LaboMED system may be helpful for someone who:

• Wants to use both eyes for magnified viewing
• Needs both hands free for detailed tasks
• Prefers a dedicated magnifying frame instead of attaching a lens to everyday glasses
• Wants a replaceable lens that can be changed if magnification needs change
• Already knows the appropriate magnification or working distance

The frame can also be worn over prescription eyewear. When magnification is not needed, the lens can be moved upward and out of the viewing area.

Choosing Your Magnification

• 1.7x: Longest working distance and widest viewing area
• 2x: Moderate magnification with approximately 10 inches of working space
• 2.5x: Stronger detail viewing at approximately 7 inches
• 3x: Strongest option, requiring the closest working distance

Higher magnification makes small details appear larger, but it also requires the object to be held closer. The strongest option is not automatically the most comfortable choice.
